The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data supports country partners at the national and sub-national levels in Sierra Leone to develop and implement whole-of-government, multi-stakeholder data roadmaps for sustainable development.
Sierra Leone’s Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC), with support from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and Statistics Sierra Leone, as well as the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, conducted a national workshop on Data Roadmaps for Sustainable Development in June 2016. Government representatives, business and civil society leaders, and national and international experts convened in Freetown to discuss: (i) multi-stakeholder alignment, collaboration, and coordination; (ii) data for impact and capacity building; (iii) fostering a vibrant data ecosystem; (iv) improving data collection; and, (v) increasing funding to implement a Data Roadmap for Sustainable Development.
There are a number of other data innovation activities currently supporting sustainable development in Sierra Leone. See below for blogs, partner activities, initiatives, and resources related to sustainable development data in Sierra Leone.
