As part of the Make Inclusive Data the Norm initiative, the event “Tírame el Dato: Citizen Data in Action for the Canal del Dique” convened community leaders, national institutions, international organizations, and development partners in Cartagena to spotlight the role of citizen-generated data in shaping inclusive governance and sustainable development.

As part of the 10th Annual Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum), an Action Day under the theme Advancing the Global Digital Compact (GDC) brought together leading implementers and partners to discuss the role of data governance for an innovative and equitable digital economy.

The Inclusive Data Charter is pleased to welcome two new Champions, the Global Observatory for Gender Equality and Sport, and the  International Women's Development Agency (IWDA). 

On April 3, 2025, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) and the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP), in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data and APC-Colombia, hosted a national validation workshop in Accra as part of the Make Inclusive Data the Norm (MIDN) initiative.

On March 27, 2025, Kenya's Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2030 was launched by the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Digital Economy at the Kenyatta International Convention Center.  

This comprehensive strategy positions Kenya as Africa’s leading AI innovation hub and marks a new milestone in Kenya’s journey toward harnessing the transformative power of AI to drive sustainable development, economic growth, and social inclusion. 

Following the adoption of the United Nations Pact for the Future and Global Digital Compact in September 2024, the UN General Assembly requested the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) to establish a working group on data governance at all levels.

The Global Partnership recently participated in the 56th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UN56SC) in New York from 4 to 7 March, 2025.
