Youth voices at the heart of the Global Partnership Board meeting

During September 18-19, 2024 the Global Partnership Board of Directors gathered in New York for the annual meeting. On the agenda this year was a session with participants from the Data Values Advocates Program and the Capacity Accelerator Network Fellowship, through which the Global Partnership amplifies youth voices, action, and impact.

PRESS RELEASE: President Ruto announces Kenya as the host of the 2026 Global Data Festival

September 26, 2024, New York City

President Ruto has announced that the Government of Kenya will host the Global Data Festival in 2026, to catalyze global progress on data, technology, and AI for economic and social progress. The festival will be organized with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, a network of 700+ organizations from across a range of sectors and regions, using data to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Agriculture data, food security, and climate statistics: Working with IsDB in Francophone Africa

During June 2024, the Global Partnership facilitated workshops in Togo, Guinea, and Mali to engage with country partners and local policymakers, following research and analysis on the current state of environmental, agricultural, and food security statistics. Insights were shared with relevant local institutions, along with recommendations to strengthen statistical systems and support informed decision-making and data-driven policymaking. 

Save the Children launches its Inclusive Data Charter action plan 2024 - 2026

Save the Children’s global strategy is about transforming the impact for and with children, putting the protection of the rights of children most impacted by inequality and discrimination at the center of our work. 

This mirrors the pledge to Leave No One Behind in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which promised ‘that no one will be left behind’ and that goals will be met for ‘all segments of society.’
