Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data
The World Economic Forum is joining the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data through three of its initiatives:
- Accelerating Sustainable Development Impact in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: The new platform aims to catalyze a movement of technology innovators, businesses, governments, international organisations, investors, and academia to rapidly and responsibly accelerate and scale 4IR technology applications to solve global environmental and social challenges. The platform seeks to do so by connecting key leaders and actors in the “tech for SDGs” space, chart a shared action-oriented agenda for the work going forward, and together address important gaps in enabling emerging technologies to play an better role in accomplishing the 2030 global goals.
- Partnering with Civil Society in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: The initiative is a multi-stakeholder platform to demonstrate inclusive, participatory approaches for digital and emerging technologies, and accelerate stronger partnerships between civil society, industry, philanthropy, and other stakeholders in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enabling more people and organizations in civil society to influence how data impacts society. The platform seeks to do this by convening global multi-stakeholder working groups to investigate shared public interest areas and develop new prototype experiments for collective action and evidence building.
- Strategic Intelligence Platform: The digital platform harnesses the power of collective intelligence to provide knowledge as a public good. We just launched a series of SDG maps and are looking to feature data and data visualizations as appropriate for public consumption and learning.
