Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data
Our commitment to the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data and our goal to contribute to the data revolution in developing countries is reflected in our initiatives and actions, we identify the following collaboration priorities:
- Digital Democracy: As part of our digital democracy commitment, we actively promote the use of open data and digital tools to improve transparency, accountability, open government, and citizen engagement in governance.
- Digital rights and AI: We strengthen digital literacy and data governance for officials and communities, ensuring they can leverage data responsibly while protecting digital rights and privacy. We prioritize ethical data governance, ensuring AI and data technologies are used responsibly, protecting privacy, and upholding digital rights in all our initiatives.
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Data Justice: Our data-driven initiatives empower women, youth, LGBTIQ+, and other marginalized groups, safeguarding their digital rights and amplifying their voices in policy and decision-making.

Priorities as an Inclusive Data Charter Champion
In June 2024, Datalat became a Champion of the Inclusive Data Charter, committed to developing and implementing an Action Plan aimed at making data systems more inclusive across Ecuador and Latin America. This Action Plan will focus on ensuring that data is disaggregated, representative, and accessible, especially for marginalized groups such as youth, women and the LGBTQIA+ population.
Through our initiative CuirData, we are already working to advance the production and dissemination of gender-disaggregated statistics and pioneering new approaches for the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ populations in official data systems. CuirData collaborates with both civil society and government institutions to develop methodologies, standards, and data collection exercises that reflect the diversity of experiences within these communities.
As an IDC Champion, we will continue advocating for the strengthening of policies, systems, and processes to effectively and responsibly collect, analyze, and use inclusive data for governments and civil society. This commitment ensures that the data revolution supports everyone, particularly those who have been historically underrepresented in data.
