Jenna Slotin is stepping into the role of interim CEO bringing a long-standing focus on data governance, policy, and global cooperation with her. Her first engagements in the new role will be in New York, where world leaders and changemakers are gathering for the 2025 UN General Assembly High-Level Week.
Technology and data are central to this year’s agenda, with the launch of the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance and Digital@UNGA program hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
As part of UNGA, Jenna will speak at several events as part of the Digital@UNGA programme, including the roundtable Closing the digital gap: A connected future for all, alongside the Concordia Summit, and Scalable alternative governance and business models for a fair data economy - a deep-dive on data cooperatives and digital infrastructure solutions for data agency.
In both events, core to the discussion will be a focus on making sure the future of data and technology is fair, inclusive, and well-governed.
The 2025 UN General Assembly High-Level Week kicks of on September 22 in New York. This year marks the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), with the theme Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights.
