How can citizen-generated data strengthen national statistics and public policy?
Join the official launch of Colombia's Citizen Data Framework (Marco de Datos Ciudadanos), a co-created tool that recognizes citizens not just as data users but as producers throughout the entire statistical value chain. This tool was developed as part of the Make Inclusive Data the Norm initiative, supported by APC-Colombia.
Built through 13 territorial co-creation workshops and 6 Autonomous Workshops across five cities, the framework includes a Maturity Model that helps civil society organizations self-assess and strengthen their data practices across four dimensions: Planning; Governance and Participation; Methodology; and Use and Impact. The launch event brings together civil society, academia, government, and international partners for presentations, a high-level panel, a civil society Experience Fair, and a collective commitment-building session for national implementation.
The event will be in Spanish.
Co-organized by DANE, the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, the UN Collaborative on Citizen Data, and the Alcaldía de Cali.
