Suriname has made steady progress in enhancing its capacity to produce reliable, high-quality climate change data, an essential component for effectively monitoring and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Accurate climate information not only supports SDG 13 (Climate Action), but also informs cross-cutting efforts in biodiversity, sustainable land use, water management, and disaster resilience.
The United Nations Regional Hub for Big Data in Brazil is holding a series of webinars on climate change indicators. This event, in collaboration with the Global Partnership, explores Suriname’s evolving approaches to climate change data production, showcasing national initiatives, tools, and collaborations that have improved data collection, processing, and accessibility.
Join us as we highlight Suriname’s journey, challenges, and successes in using climate change data as a foundation for sustainable development and informed decision-making.
