GRID3 (Geo-Referenced Infrastructure and Demographic Data for Development) works with countries to generate, validate, and use geospatial data on population, settlements, infrastructure, and boundaries.

GRID3 combines the expertise of partners in government, the United Nations, academia, and the private sector to design adaptable and relevant geospatial solutions based on capacity and development needs of each country.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

GRID3 builds spatial data solutions to make development goals achievable.

The program empowers countries to collect and produce geospatial data so that every person is represented. GRID3's technical work includes generating and validating geospatial data on population, settlements, infrastructure, and subnational boundaries; and high-quality geo-referenced census support.

We also strengthen national capacity to produce and use geospatial data while fostering collaborative and effective partnerships across sectors.

Finally, we ensure that datasets are accessible to the public and widely disseminated, using open-source solutions, user-friendly applications, and public data-sharing platforms.
