Our mission is to bridge the data skills gap and catalyze social impact within underserved communities, where the need is great for leveraging data in decision making. We have three focus areas:

  1. training the next generation in data skills
  2. building cultures of data use, and
  3. developing capacity within organizations for data-driven decision making.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

Data Elevates (DE) focuses on data literacy, analysis, and visualization in data skills development, with flexibility built in for customization based on regional context, program types, and partnerships. DE’s approach to organizational capacity building emphasizes collaboration in utilizing data maturity assessments to pinpoint organizational strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for data-driven decision making.

DE builds cultures of data use to coordinate the data skills labor market through a 5 Cs framework (Community, Context, Champions, Competitions, and Certifications.)

Through a social determinants of health lens, DE drives health and economic impact by catalyzing cultures of data in underserved communities.

Our work addresses the following Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Goal 3 - Good Health and Well-being
  • Goal 4 - Quality Education
  • Goal 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth
