Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) is an inclusive business initiative in the private sector to support development and promotion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based services in developing countries. In recent decades, ICT has evolved as an effective tool in development dynamics and created enormous opportunities by IT revolution which means widespread access to, sharing of and use of information (knowledge) in economic and social activities. In the context of the developing world, ICT enabled development & business initiatives are useful only to the extent that there is complimentary tangible and intangible capital, including human, R&D Capital, data, and knowledge capital.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

To contribute to build the ICT capacity of the extension service providers to make informed decision based on data and scientific information. BIID has extended its services beyond Bangladesh and established its presence in East African countries where it works with different governments, academic institutions, and private sector companies. Our promise to contribute to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals will be a priority in our business strategy and mission.
