We are a non-governmental organization established in memory of Dag Hammarskjöld, the second Secretary-General of the United Nations. Our work is governed by an international board and from our offices in Uppsala and New York City we spur dialogue and action on global development and multilateral cooperation.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

We work in partnership with DataActLab to support and spread its initiative to develop digital portals that enable countries and their citizens to track implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Designed to be country-owned and user-friendly, the online portal is open-access and can be tailored to any specific country, translating complex statistics and numbers into innovative and accessible data visualizations.

Broad access to this sort of tool is critical in achieving, monitoring and reviewing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. By turning data into useful, actionable information, it enables evidence-based decision making and ensures greater transparency and accountability around the implementation of the goals.
