In this Data Values community event, join us for an interactive and insightful session on data equity—what it means, why it matters, and how we can all work toward achieving it in our own work and communities.

In today's data-driven world, one of the most pressing challenges is ensuring that data practices and processes are equitable. From creating and launching digital products to conducting analyses and research, the decisions made at every stage—big or small—carry implications for equity within data. It is crucial that these processes are fair, just, and inclusive to benefit all people, everywhere. Otherwise, we risk perpetuating injustice and reinforcing unequal power dynamics.

The Data Values Manifesto was developed to challenge these entrenched power structures and to ensure that everyone can benefit from data collection and use. This event is an opportunity to explore the importance of equity in data processes and action needed across different sectors and organizations. The event will also provide updates on the Data Values Project, offering attendees a chance to learn about upcoming collaboration opportunities for the rest of the year.

This event is open to the public, and we encourage you to share it with your networks. Let’s come together to drive more inclusive, fair, and equitable data ecosystems.
