ILDA (La Iniciativa Latinoamericana por los Datos Abiertos)
Visit website
ILDA was founded in 2012 as a research program that sought to promote and understand the use of open data in Latin America. Its work in this first stage had a strong focus on community and to leverage a research agenda that served the interests from Latin America. The main key to this process was an initial group of researchers who carried out the task of opening the field in the region in diverse areas such as education, public budget, public procurement or civic technology, among others.
In this new stage – as an organization since 2018 – ILDA seeks to renew its commitment to research to solve the most complex problems in Latin America, promoting reflection on how data will serve the development of our societies.
ILDA desarrolla esta actividad en base a su plan estratégico 2018-2020. Dentro de esta estrategia, a su vez, se encuentra desarrollando una búsqueda de nuevos perfiles y temas para trabajar en América Latina.
