This session will consist of two parts.

In the first part, the National Institute of Statistics of Uruguay (INE) will show the innovations that lead to a record-breaking census in Latin America and the Caribbean in terms of the response rate via the web questionnaire (55% of the households) and a real-time supervision of the field work. ANTEL and its subsidiaries IT companies will also present the IT and communication innovations that supported the Uruguayan census 2023.

In the second part, ANTEL, the largest telecom company of Uruguay, will present the telecommunication innovations (5G mobile network) and the use of cellphone data for population mobility analysis (smart territory platform).
