In June 2021, the United Nations Development Coordination Office hosted a series of clinics (the SDG Data deep-dive for RCs, RCOs and UNCTs) for the purpose of identifying challenges and opportunities to support the national statistical system (NSS). The discussions set out to clarify the roles and responsibilities of the Resident Coordinators, their offices, UN country teams and entities at global and regional level that are physically not present in country; and to share how RCs can access the expertise across the UN system, and how these can be tooled to better support coordination in terms of support to the national statistical system at the country level. The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data was invited to observe and provide the following summary report of the sessions.
