The climate crisis continues worsening, disrupting every country on every continent. 2019 was the second warmest year ever while greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere have risen to new records.

Data and technology can be used to monitor and anticipate climate changes and to aid data-led decision-making. Measuring the impact of climate change can help mitigate damages of rising sea levels, help prepare for extreme weather and ensure food security.

There are still massive gaps between what science tells us we must do and what is actually being done. Urgent action that addresses the climate, pollution and nature crises in a holistic way must be taken across every sector and of every level of the global economy. To change everything, we need everyone.
