Open Knowledge Nepal is a non-profit civic tech organization comprised of openness aficionados. It's the local chapter of the Open Knowledge Foundation in Nepal.
Open Knowledge Nepal's mission is to use the value of open data and open knowledge to create opportunities in Nepal for sustainable development. Open Knowledge Nepal has been playing a pioneering role in creating and driving forward open data and open knowledge in Nepal. Primary activities include research, advocacy, training and workshops and civic-tech projects.
Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data
Open Knowledge Nepal will work to develop a framework for using data from multiple sectors, including civil society, the private sector, citizens, and others to help monitor progress in sustainable development.
