The Ministry for Inclusion, Voluntary Organizations and Consumer Rights under the Directorate for Disability Issues in Malta is dedicated to promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in line with the UNCRPD.
Priorities as an Inclusive Data Champion
The Directorate for Disability issues believes that accurate and accessible data is crucial to understanding and addressing the challenges faced in the disability sector both in Malta and worldwide. The country’s Inclusive Data Charter action plan will align with Malta’s National Disability Strategy in particular committing to implementing the SDGs. We are committed to ensuring that our national censuses and surveys align with the Washington Group set of questions. We are also committed to creating a single disability database in line with best practices that will obtain data from a reformed centralized disability assessment systems.
We are also committed to contributing our expertise and experience to the network as well as learning from other champions as well.
