Cultivando Género

Cultivando Género, AC emerged in 2016 from the concern of a group of friends and fellow feminists and activists interested in making visible the situation of discriminated groups where differences in gender, age and economic situation are usually a factor that reduces the possibilities of development.

The coffee talks where we shared feelings about our experiences as women in a world understood as masculine, led us to identify and reflect on the causes and conditions of the social problems in which we were involved and from our diverse training we were turning our ideas into projects to develop to participate in a more active and organized way in solving these problems.

In the process of thinking and reflecting as women we have reaffirmed ourselves as feminists by becoming aware of the existence of unfair, unequal and discriminatory treatments that have existed towards us, but also towards other women, and towards other people who They are not part of the heteronorm and are subject to violence and discrimination. Thus, we have found in feminist philosophy and in analysis with a gender perspective, valuable tools that help us to have a political and scientific perspective, to observe in a critical and analytical way how our history has been and thus work in favor of the human rights of women and people whose rights are systematically violated.

Since this AC was established we have shared ideas through various texts, we have joined forces to nourish our knowledge, we have walked together even in the distance recognizing that the reasons that initially united us are confirmed day by day.
