In August 2016, Tanzania Mainland convened a National Data Roadmap Stakeholders Meeting led by the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, the World Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation – President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief partnership and other partners in the United Republic of Tanzania. The workshop marked the commencement of Tanzania’s Sustainable Development Data Roadmap process; a process of fostering partnerships and collaborative efforts, and stakeholder engagements aimed at building the national foundation for enhancing availability, accessibility, use, and impact of data for sustainable development.
