Administrative statistics is the routine data collected by government agencies in their day-to-day business. Within this data is the potential to get insights that are more timely and more specific than other data sources. If administrative data is collected, used, stored, and shared properly, the most vulnerable groups can be identified and policies can be passed to prioritize their needs.

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data and Cepei co-hosted this UN World Data Forum 2020 session. They were joined by the United Nations Statistics Division, National Institute of Statistics and Census of Ecuador, Namibia Statistics Agency, and the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
