The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is the U.S. government initiative to save the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS around the world. This historic $70 billion commitment is the largest by any nation to combat a single disease internationally, and PEPFAR investments also help alleviate suffering from other diseases across the global health spectrum.

PEPFAR is driven by a shared responsibility among donor and partner nations and others to make smart investments to save lives. PEPFAR is laser-focused on data-driven decision-making, mutual accountability, transparency, and ensuring our programs have a clear and deliberate impact.

PEPFAR is led and managed by the U.S. Department of State's Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Health Diplomacy and implemented by seven U.S. government departments and agencies, leveraging the power of a whole-of-government approach to controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

PEPFAR has publicly opened its data, leading by example to drive greater program efficiency, transparency, coordination, and mutual accountability. Within the PEPFAR Dashboards, you can explore PEPFAR's investments, achievements, and expenditures for each PEPFAR country and regional program responding to the HIV epidemic.

The dashboards present information related to PEPFAR’s annual results, planned funding, central funding initiatives, and program expenditures. You can view data in a variety of formats, from a comparison of subnational level results to country-wide trends.

Through the PEPFAR Dashboards, data can be disaggregated by age, sex, and geography, helping to target and tailor our efforts, which include addressing the disproportionate burden of HIV/AIDS borne by women and girls. In addition, you can examine PEPFAR procurement transaction data from the Supply Chain Management System administered by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
