For Save the Children, the 'leave no one behind' principle in the SDGs is more than an add-on to the development agenda, but rather front and center of what it means to achieve sustainable development in the next decade. Our data and research work helps to identify who the furthest behind children are, propose new ways to monitor their progress, and build public and political understanding about the importance of reaching them.
Save the Children has developed GRID, our Child Inequality Tracker, which provides an overview of inequalities in children's well-being indicators across health, education, and child protection. The free online tools illustrate how equitable progress could better be monitored at the national level using existing official data sets.
GRID and Save the Children's most recent policy reports showcase analytical innovations to highlight inequality in children's outcomes, including work on inclusive progress and convergence towards the SDGs as well as new research linking children's outcomes with access to services.
