Our mission is to become the leading source of tech female talent from Latin America to the world. We do this by training low-income women in web development and life-skills and then placing them in tech jobs in leading companies throughout the continent. Our main activities are the following:

  1. Find talent: We find talent where no one else is looking for it, through a thorough selection process made up of cognitive and soft-skills testing, interviews, prework and a pre-admission week at Laboratoria.
  2. Bootcamp training: 6 months of immersive web development training (front-end and UX design) and life-skills
  3. Job placement: We help connect our students with the leading tech jobs in the market according to their talent
  4. Continuing Education: Once working and after the boot camp, these women keep getting training from Laboratoria in the form of short tech courses (18 months)

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

Laboratoria aims to become the leading source of female tech talent from Latin America to the world, by training low-income women in web development and placing them in great tech jobs. Our economies worldwide do not have enough tech talent, given the growth of the digital industry, and additionally, very few women work in tech. Laboratoria wants to change this by transforming talented women stuck in basic low-paying jobs into web developers, by offering them an accessible quality education on web-development and life-skills and then liking them with companies that need their talent. Through our program, we are directly helping to achieve the following Sustainable Development Goals: No poverty, Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Reduced Inequalities.

Laboratoria is a data-driven organization that designs its products through lean product cycles that assures their model is answering to their target audience’s needs. Additionally, they make decisions according to performance and impact indicators of their main processes: student selection process, boot camp training, job placement, and continuing education.

Moreover, since data analysis is becoming such a crucial part of the digital era, in the future, we hope to include a data analysis track on our boot camp and continuing education training.
