This free online course is designed to help you explore the Data Values Manifesto and learn how you can help make data fair, inclusive, and beneficial for everyone.

About this course 

This course aims to inspire individuals and organizations to engage with and implement the principles of the Data Values Manifesto to create a fair data future for all. It was developed by Data for Social Impact (DSI), an initiative of the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis, and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, who host the Data Values Project.

This course explores how data shapes our world, the opportunities and risks it presents, and the necessary actions to ensure that data is equitable, inclusive, and beneficial for all. The course includes real-world examples and practical steps to help you promote ethical data practices and challenge existing power dynamics in data.

Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data 

The mission of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data is to help the world use better data for better decisions and better lives. Their work targets the barriers to leveraging data for sustainable development, something that can only be achieved by working collaboratively across sectors and geographies. Data for Social Impact 

Data for Social Impact, an initiative of the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis, builds data capacity and collaboration among social sector organizations working to increase impact for and with the communities they serve. By being more strategic in how they engage with data, organizations have an opportunity to advance their missions, increase impact and promote equitable outcomes.
