The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with almost 300 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers, and internet companies, as well as organizations in adjacent industry sectors. The GSMA also produces industry-leading events such as Mobile World Congress, Mobile World Congress Shanghai, Mobile World Congress Americas and the Mobile 360 Series conferences.

Priorities as a partner of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data

GSMA is committed to amplifying and accelerating mobile operators’ impact in achieving the SDGs. To begin with, the Big Data for Social Good initiative was launched at Mobile World Congress in February 2017 and will leverage mobile operators’ big data capabilities, and contribute in addressing humanitarian crises challenges, including epidemics and natural disasters.
