Join a world-class roster of open data experts committed to furthering the transfer of knowledge across East Africa and globally. The East African Open Data Festival and its participants aim to strengthen the use of open data for innovation, job creation, and growth in Africa. In partnership with civil society and private sector, governments are modernizing their own processes, improving service delivery, and increasing transparency and citizen satisfaction.

The event will include expert discussions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, furthering the use of satellite data, community mapping, Open Government, International Open Data Charter, and increasing the quality of data journalism, data communities, and skills training across Kenya and East Africa.
