United Nations Statistics Division
The first meeting of this expert group will take place on 26-28 January 2016 in New York. The group, consisting of 20 countries and 7 agencies, is mandated to produce a handbook on a system of extended international and global accounts. This handbook should serve as the measurement framework for international trade and economic globalization.
The outline and scope of the handbook will be discussed in detail at this meeting. Beside developing the accounts and the corresponding global input-output tables, the group will address also the challenges of a global enterprise group register, firm heterogeneity and asymmetries in bilateral trade and foreign direct investment.
