Data2X, led by the UN Foundation with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, works with countries, international agencies, civil society, researchers and the private sector to improve the availability and use of global gender data. Data2X helps to increase decision-makers’ understanding of the need for gender data and to build proof-of-concept research collaborations demonstrating methods and approaches to close gaps in information about the lives of women and girls. In addition to being a global voice for gender data, Data2X leads six strategic partnerships on CRVS, women's work and employment, financial services, women's subjective well-being, big data and improved gender data on US foreign assistance programs using household surveys, agricultural surveys, geospatial data, civil registration and vital statistics as well as economic statistics, including labor force and establishment surveys and trade statistics.
