data roadmaps & toolbox
In September 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and pledged to pursue 17 Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice and address climate change within 15 years. The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data supports countries at the national and subnational levels to develop and implement whole-of-government, multi-stakeholder data roadmaps for sustainable development.
Existing national plans, activities and priorities are being aligned to further strengthen data ecosystems and enable data-driven decision-making that drives sustainable development.
The Global Partnership will enable the use of real-time, dynamic, disaggregated data to help achieve and monitor the SDGs, bridge data gaps and improve capacities to generate, share and use data. It is working closely with partner countries to better understand challenges and opportunities on the road to harnessing the data revolution for sustainable development.
As part of this effort, the Global Partnership is working with its network of Data Champions to develop a toolbox that supports country-led efforts to develop and implement data roadmaps for sustainable development.
